5 competitions running concurrently, 2 people per group of judges, 8 hours in one particular day.
Oops. I shot these out wider, thinking I had enough to crop the head out. I could take it out digitally but I was just practicing here with the camera and don’t know the individuals in the competition.
I had it set to focus on the individual closest to me. It really showed up in the group shots. I had it set up that way originally because I was shooting the gups with the dans as the audience behind them so it made sense. But not here.
I did a terrible job taking pictures at the karate competition. I really should’ve read up on how to best handle the combination of flourescent lights, lots of movement, and lots of people. I did get some good ones, but not a lot of great ones.
It did not help one bit that I forgot my tripod; that was probably 75% of my problem.
